Thanksgiving in the Hill Country

Well, it's taken me a few days, but I finally found some time to post pictures from our Thanksgiving in the hill country. We love going out there this time of year because the leaves on the trees have changed to so many beautiful colors. Plus, the weather was perfect-- lows in the 30s-40s at night and highs in the mid 60s during the day.

We had such a good time visiting with my parents and my sister and her family. It was so fun to watch Rachael play with her cousin Lauren; it'll be great next year to see how Ryan and cousin David play! Mom's dinner was fantastic, as always, but I'm sure I put on a few pounds. How can you not, with cherry pie, fudge, and chocolate sheath cake?

We played lots of games (Mom smoked us at UNO), and one day, we all went to the park in Kerrville to let the kids run around. The only downside to the entire trip was on the last evening when we went into town for dinner at Mamasita's, Rachael got car sick in the parking lot, right as we arrived at the restaurant. That meant Mommy had to make an emergency trip to the local Walmart with Grandma and Grandpa to get Rachael a change of clothes, so we could have dinner at Mamasita's. Rachael is still telling me (every day, in fact) that she got sick at Mamasita's. At least it was really good Mexican food. Rachael's comment on that: "Yay for Mamasita's!"
