Ryan's Two-Month Checkup

I took Ryan to the doctor today for his two-month checkup, and the doctor says he couldn't be more perfect! He has met every milestone and is growing exactly as he should be. He weighed 12 pounds, 6 ounces, which puts him in the 75 percentile for weight. He was 23 1/4 inches long, so he's grown 3 inches since he was born. He's in the 50% for height and the 25% for his head measurements (sorry, other Hamiltons, he doesn't seem to have the Hamilton head).

He still wakes up once during the night to eat, usually between 3 and 4 a.m., but the doctor said that's pretty much right on track. We're wishing he could go a little longer at night--by this age, Rachael was sleeping until 6 or 6:30 every morning. Sigh. Hopefully once he starts some rice cereal around 4 months old, he'll be filled up enough to last a little longer at night.

We're headed down to Portland this weekend to visit Nana and Papa, so we're looking forward to seeing them. Hopefully Rachael won't get sick during the car ride; we're leaving after dinner tonight, so hopefully she'll sleep the whole way. Plus, we're giving her a little Dramamine, so maybe that will help, too. I guess I better go get to packin'; there's a lot to pack for two little ones!
