It's so hard to believe, but today, our little girl turned two years old! It seems like only yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and wondering what in the world to do with a newborn. It was so cute this morning to hear her say, "I two!" when we asked her how old she was (we had to teach her to say this, of course; she's really smart but clearly doesn't understand the concept of age).
She had a little birthday party at the park this past Friday where she got to play with her friends, eat pizza and cupcakes, and play some more. She had so much fun, and it was really weird to see her climbing up and down all the playground equipment by herself. There's so many things she can do now that she couldn't even a couple of months ago.
Today we sang one of her favorite songs to her, the Happy Birthday song. This is how she sings it: "Ah bir-day to you, ah bir-day to you, ah bir-day to you..." and so on. She got to open some presents and loved playing with her new toys--the Little People Home set, a couple of puzzles, and a Minnie Mouse doll, to name a few.
We've taken lots of pictures from both the party and today, but I haven't had time to download them onto my computer yet. I'll try to get that done in the next day or two, so be sure to check back. Here are a couple of recent pics of both the kids to tide you over :)
