July 4th Weekend

We had a great July 4th weekend! Mark had the day off on Friday, so we started the weekend by picking up Madison and Mason in the morning and taking all the kids to a bounce house place. Todd & Cherish ended up meeting us there with Breeleigh, so the cousins got to spend some time together playing on those big inflatable slides and things. They all really enjoyed it! Well, all except for Ryan--he hated the bouncy things! I don't know if it was the hum of the air flowing through them or the way they were not steady... he was very unsettled and let me know by crying hysterically until I picked him up.

Anyway, then we had some lunch, and while Rachael and Ryan took naps, Mark took Madison and Mason to see Ice Age 3. They said it was a cute movie. Finally, after having some smoothies at Wendy's, we went over to Keith and Christie's to have dinner and hang out a little while on Friday night. Here are some pics from Friday...

Ryan, wearing kangaroo ears, at Keith and Christie's. Daddy thought it was wrong of me to do this to the poor boy. I thought it was cute!

Then on Saturday, we had a nice, relaxing day at home. Rachael got to go next door and play with the neighbor kids. Our next door neighbors have a couple of those inflatable things--one is a big water slide, and the other is a little bounce house. She had fun on the slide, although she got a little out of control when Daddy wasn't holding on to her. She also got to play in the pool.

That night we had friends come over, and we had a great time playing games... and listening to the boom of fireworks. Amazingly, Ryan slept through all the fireworks. Rachael told me the next morning that the fireworks went "BOOM" and that they fell down in the grass. So apparently she was watching out her window when she was supposed to be sleeping. Anyway, here are some pics from Saturday.

See? Totally out of control. She's loving it, though.
