Spring Picnic

Last Sunday was the annual spring picnic hosted by Mark's company, and they always do such a great job of making this a fun family event. We've taken the kids the last three years now, and this is the first year Ryan has been able to enjoy more of the events. Last year all he could do was swing in the infant swing; he was afraid of bounce houses back then. This year he had fun swinging, bouncing, riding trains, and riding ponies-- YES, he rode the ponies! I was stunned because he typically is not very adventurous (I wonder who he gets that from). It takes him a while to get used to things and see that they are indeed fun. Rachael did all the above things and more-- she slid through water tunnels, down water slides, and had her hand painted. I think they were both in bed by straight-up 7:00 that night. We accomplished our parental duties of wearing the kids out!
