Two Little Punkins in a Pumpkin Patch

We had the most beautiful weather this past weekend-- lows in the 40s at night, highs in the 70s during the day. So Friday afternoon Mark came home from work a little early, and we took the kids to the pumpkin patch. Now when you live in Texas, every spring you take your kids to the bluebonnet fields for pictures in the bluebonnets (although we missed it this year). Every fall, it's the same way with the pumpkin patch. In some ways, it's a way to mark the passage of time and show how the kids have grown.

These were taken at the pumpkin patch last year.


Rachael was not quite two years old, and Ryan was almost two months old.





These next pictures were taken at the same pumpkin patch, this past Friday. Rachael was having so much fun, I could barely get her to slow down long enough to take some pictures. Her favorite activities (besides the obvious touching the pumpkins) was throwing hay on Daddy's head and filling a little wagon with pumpkins. Ryan's favorite activities were crawling through the mud, walking through the mud, and more crawling through the mud. He took time out to roll a few pumpkins around and take some pictures here and there.





















They've both changed so much in the last year. Rachael keeps telling me that she's "getting bigger" and that her birthday is coming soon, and she'll be three. Ryan is now walking all over the place and getting into everything. My babies aren't babies anymore. Sigh.
