Ryan went to the doctor this morning for his 18-month well-check. He weighed a little over 26 lbs, which puts him in the 75th percentile, and he's about 33 inches tall (80th percentile). We'll know better when he turns two, but the doctor said if he continues on this same growth track, he'll be over 6' tall as an adult.
He's on track developmentally--both motor skills and verbal. The only question he failed was that he still won't point to any of his body parts. I think he knows some of them but just refuses to play our little game of pointing. Oh well, maybe one day.
Some cute things he's doing now: Singing his songs, talking on his play phone ("Heh-woh? Yeah."), saying "Okay" any time we ask him to do something (whether he follows through or not), dancing to music, and running laps around the kitchen table.
Stay tuned to the blog... next week he goes for his first hair cut... sniff sniff.
